hey guys, just wondering what people think of the gamemaster. i have just recently got to about a 28in draw length and found that my bow starts to stack at my length. just want to know what people think price, noise, and weight wise.

I've got the Gamemaster aswell and yes they do stack alot over 28".
Mine is 55# at 28" but at 29.5" it is about 67/68# using a brace height of 8".
I tried the 65# and at 29.5" that came in at 83#.
Yes they can be abit noisey. I've put felt between my limbs and the string which helps alot but I still want to get some Limbsavers.
I love my Gamemaster and my Ultramag now only comes out for 3Ds and Paper shoots.(It's even missed out on some of them)
Cheers Shalee
A mate of mine has a 65# game master and draws something over 29" and can confirm it stacks to 80 something pound , i reckon they are a poor choice for a longer draw archer . Another mate has a 45# gamemaster and its a lovely bow until it's drawn over 28 " , so I guess stacking is a design flaw across the draw weight range , Hoyt should not make blews like that or at least should state designed for sub 28" drawlengths . regards Perry
I've used Hoyts and Relex's
Atm im a Reflex boy, designed purely for Speed and Impact, Nothing else :P
with 310fps with a 28" draw its a machine :)
I've shot the game master at my local archery center, Its a nice hunting bow, But i also beleive its very noisy compared to my fully worked Reflex Bighorn Hunter, but over all the Reflex Rampager is my fav its so friggin quick it will def be my next babey :)

on the cabela's website, the two reviews state a 5/5 and a 4/5 in overall performance for the reflex traditions recurve. i think it might b worth a look.
if anyone has had any experience with the reflex traditions, please tell me!!!

I don't have any experience with the Gamemaster but as for the noise with take downs the best thing I have found to quieten them down is to use thread seal tape to the td bolts as they are usually a course thread and have plenty of play in them, even when tightened up firmly they will still produce plenty of noise. Once the thread seal tape is applied the reduction in noise can amazing...Glenn...

thanks for the replies guys. glenn, i might try that little trick later. :D

Give the thread tape a go. I use to sell the Sky Archery TD's back in the 90's and they were noisy, tried the felt and other things which didn't help much at all, I just tried the tape out of frustration and couldn't believe how much quiter the bow was...Glenn...
Well with my Samick Mind-30 the tape worked a treat Glenn cheers;)

I had A Gamemaster for a couple of years. I draw 29.5 inches and never had a problem with stacking . I spent a little time putting felt on to quiet the bow and it was a great bow to shoot and hunt with .Only sold it to fund another bow ,I would recomend them as a good bow.
