I mow lawns, chop trees and garden 3 days a week and hunt 2 days a week. Not a very exciting job - but no stress like my previous job, (14 years law enforcement) and I get to pursue my passion of bowhunting. Howie

Gday,
interesting thread, I work in the hospital here in Moree, in the pathology lab, I don't think it's as interesting as 79modelhunter's workplace but it pays the bills. I mainly run blood tests and other pathology related tests, and unfortunately it is busy most of the time and I have to work every other weekend, so it leaves little time for hunting, but every chance I get I am out in the bush walking around, enjoying the fresh air, scenery and the wildlife (occasionally getting to shoot something, mainly pigs and foxes out here). I wish I could work 3 days and hunt the other 2 like howie, maybe in a few years when the house is paid off, the kids are independent, etc. ;)
I manage the reptile section of a pet shop in Melb. Aside from hunting, reptiles are my passion. Im fortunate that i come across lots of snakes and lizards while out hunting, so i get to combine the two things i love.

i work at the Dunedoo bakery
its mad because i start at 2:30 in the morning but im finished by 10 which allows me to do anything during the day

Not the most exciting job, I enjoy the challenge but not the difficult ever mind changing clients:mad:

.............keeps me busy.
Ambo with the Ambulance Service of NSW, have been for six years. Butcher by trade and owned a Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning company inbetween!!
We do two days two nights and four off, (the nights are 14 hours) Sometimes it takes two days to get over the night shifts!!!
A challenging career, but thankfully the "big" jobs don`t come along all the time.

Hi all. I am an Electrical Fitter in the Army. We cover about four trades all in one foul swoop. I have varying qualifications in Autoelectrics (cert 2, only 3 subjects off cert3 ), Refrigeration (cert 3), power generation and maintence and almost an A grade electrical license. I am off in a few weeks to sit my licensing exam so am (or should be) studying heaps at the moment. I have been in the Army for 13 years and will be leaving for greener pastures when my time is up in about 18 months.( hence me sorting out my license). I first joined and did an aprenticeship in telecommunications but changed over a few years back.
I am a Train Driver for Pacific National Queensland. Run from Mackay to Cairns. Great job, get to see a heap of wildlife. Everything from pigs to deer, snakes and rabbits.
I spent 23 years in the Army in Infantry. So I have spent most of my life living in the bush and sleeping on the ground.

Yep they are very cool.
Shame you lost one, do you put bells on them or block of the rabbit holes and come back later?
I only take them out hunting if they will follow a squeaky toy or such.

some fun facts
the largest non war time and non nuclear explosion took place here!
235,000,000L of diesel used per year!
The pit is over 3km long, 1km deep (From ground level but it was a hill at one point 300m above sea level) and 1.75km wide!
It holds the record for the longest and heaviest train pull in the world (not shore of the numbers)!

I'm a South Australian based Kangaroo shooter. I work at night and head shoot kangaroo's under a spotlight then process them into a carcass. Which is basicly just cutting off hoppers, heads, tails, bung holes and guttng them. I shoot 40 roo's on a good night and my best was 85 in one night. Its good money and i work around 3 or 4 nights a week depending on the weather. I am my own boss and can take time off when i want and a lot of properties i work on have goats, deer and rabbits so i can usually head off earlier and have an afternoon hunt with the bow. I'm out there in the bush every night right where i want to be so the job is pretty much perfect for me. And its great for gaining access to bowhunting properties as well.
Some of those mines look huge. A mate and i just gained access to a goat property backing onto a big open cut iron mine and they are spectacular holes in the ground thats for sure.
