I have one from years ago not a neck lace but just as is. I just got a ice cream contianer and put the foot in and filled it with salt and left it for a month or so. Still good and dosen't smell. Good Luck.

I just soak em in methanol and turps, then dry em out.

About 2 weeks.

Fine grain, table or cooking salt.

You'll notice a common theme between each method of removing the fluid part (dehydrating). However you do this is fine.

If your going to be wearing it as a necklace I'd suggest fixing it or tanning it, as well as smoking it or something to help stop it taking up moisture in the future.
