I know some people dont like the flasher longbow risers prefering a more square type with a leather wrap but I cant get enough of exotic woods. Here is one I saw on the w/end and snapped a couple of pics.

Yer pity the guy that made it put the shelf on the wrong side or I might have to add it to the ever increasing collection. Its great to see this sort of quality and finish from bows made here in Auz as I think it rivals anything from the rest of the world.

Very nice work Glenn.
Is that birds eye maple and purple heart in the riser?

Birdseye maple and purple heart with tiger wood limbs. I must have had a seniors moment when I cut the riser out for a left handed shooter. There are only two types of shooters in the world, right handed shooters and those who wanna be right handed shooters. Why don't you just turn it around Kim...Glenn...

Glenn when you were not looking I did string it backwards and dry fired it a couple of times but it had a bit of hand shock so put it back on the rack.:)

No good shooting a bow with bad hand shock Kim. I bet it was a bit easier to get a string on it than that boofy recurve. Just as well you and Ed were to seperate me from that bow when I strung it over my leg, it wasn't a very comfortable accessory...Glenn...

Yer that picture will stick with me for a while your leg stuck in a bow with it cutting your leg off.The look on your face was pricless and I was happy to leave you there a bit longer but Ed spoilt my fun.He is just too nice I rekon.I still havent got the string off that yet mabey tonight after dinner.

I was happy Ed was there, my leg might have gone black and dropped off before you helped me get it off. You might have to cut that string off...Glenn...

I really like that birdseye maple Glenn.

Don't you have a recurve on your website made of that? I always thought it was a fantastic timber.

Thanks for posting the pics Kim.

I did have a recurve with birdseye maple and purple heart in the riser but that was back in the 90's. Hae some new innovations in bows and laminations coming out soon...Glenn...
