Guys this is not in any way meant to be offensive or to make light of Bills death. More in the hope, my hope, that there is in fact life after death. I was out in the bush thinking about the bloke and I came to thinking that I reckon he's up there, tinkering with his harp (the harp that angels get issued with) and has turned it into a recurve, probably closer to a horse bow. And he's having a second shot at all the critters that he has sent to the great plains in the sky. What a life, to relive those shots all over again and this time maybe missing, not likely.

I was with the bloke once for a hunt, read his book and his articles, and he made that much of an impression on me. I know that out bush, he'll be the one that i say cheers to when I open the first brew of the day

Nicely put derek. I think that oneday there will be a 40 inch chital turn up on Toomba that no man will ever get a shot at, it will Bill's joke on all hunters that hunt the place....
Yeh i will dedicate the first cold one after a good days hunting to the old legend...
