I just thought that it might be interesting to find out what everyone wears on their feet hunting.
I wear Dunlop Volley's which i mowed the lawn in, they're green, grippy and silent.

Sneakers or my Rocky boots. Depending on the terrain.
Though up at the Cape. Someone ( I wont mention Piggys name) made my fat a$$ run through the swamp barefooted so I could arrow 2 pigs. Thanks again for that sir!!!

I wear la sportiva tibet anphibios and i think there deffenetly worth the money. ive had alot of trouble with my ankles tearing ligaments in both while playing footy and i find these boots give me great ankle support and are very comfy to wear even on the longest of days.

wet suit shoes, not a lot of ankle support or protection from rocky ground, but super quiet and I have noticed that I get closer to deer in them before they are alerted.

I wear army issue boots,
bought from a disposal store, nice and high for ankle support, waterproof!
And more comfortable than you think!
Surprisingly quiet in the bush as well...

I'm wearing a pair or coleman goretex hiking boots at the moment. They were an end of line at work that no one wanted. Usually 300bucks but were on sale for half price but no one wanted them then 75% off. Then after being on clearence for 3 months i said to the boss i'll give you 40 bucks for them, sold. Really comphy boots, light waterproof, breathable and durable. I've ben wearing them constantly for about 18months now and i'm starting to waer through the soles unfortuneatly. I wear thick socks with them so if i wank to stalk something i just kick the shoes of and go stealth stlye.

I use a pair of Red Head Turkey Trecker boots bought in from the US.

Excellent grip and comfortable wearing, even when chasing Goats along steep rocky ridges all day long.

Waterproof and with good ankle protection.

However, what I did need to do was buy some Gel innersoles to get the fit right.

I have also invested in some very good hiking socks and some spray-on water proofing as the original waterproofing wasn't very effective.

Boots are definately the go for me, a couple of times I have left work for a hunt and forgotten my boots and worn my runners instead.

Lets just say, in one instance I was a few center meters from a bad fall due to the lack of grip on a steep slope while chasing Goats.

The other times the slides weren't as exciting but a good reminder to wear good traction in the hills.

Quietness is still good in boots, you just have to know how to roll your foot, over dry sticks and litter, properly.

I like the look of those Browning boots. I wear fairly heavy lace-up leather blundstones cos they cost me nothing. I need the ankle support where I hunt. I considered buying a pair of hunting boots off the net a few months back, but decided not to because every manufacturer seems to have a different fit. How did you guys who have bought boots from overseas make sure the fit was right?

Most US sites have a size comparison chart, a few have live chat too so you can actually get someone to check for you.
