I'm over here in Slovenia for 2.5 weeks for a work + family commitments holiday.
With my dad's side of the family from Slovenia, I have found myself over here on numerous occassions for both work & pleasure. With much of the county covered with forrests (and with my family owning a fair chunk of forrest acreage) I have been dreaming of hunting here since my first visit in 1991. With deer, euro boar, brown bear, rabbits, hares, chamois, and foxes, hunting the homeland of my family has been high on my list of dream hunts.
Finally that dream will become reality tomorrow. Unfortunately bow hunting over here is illegal, but when in rome.... borrow a 8mm Rem Mag.
Dawn will see us doing an aussie style walking hunt, and dusk will see us hunting from a stand. To say I'm excited is an understatement.
Will advise on outcome soon. Hopefully a brown bear won't get me.
