You can’t bow fish in any inland waters in WA dude
As Luke said you can bowfish only where you are allowed to spear fish, no rivers
As for any spots around Perth that I would not have a clue
Catcha later

Swan doesn't come under the 'inland' restrictions as far as i know Arra Slinger as an estuary and considering i've just renewed my freshwater license for trout season i've never needed a license to fish the Swan. Maybe well upstream from Midland you might (no fish that far up except mullet, cobbler) where 100% fresh?
be hard bowfishing the Swan anyway - espcially as fish you'd choose to target there such as cobbler are protected from gidgees/spearguns and you'd catch 10 times more flathead/bream with a rod as opposed to a bow easily. the fact no one spearfishes the Swan (free diving) becuase results are so poor makes it hardly worth thinking about. Murky (visibility poor except near tidal mouth) at this time of year as well. Also, shooting a bow in such a public location usually with plenty people about would also surely raise some eyebrows.
some big fat jellyfish though spider would help you sort out your new sights.

fortunately we don't suffer from the carp plague in WA, but that's unfortunate for your bowfishing dreams spidey. there are some carp in upper Canning and above Kent St wier - they'd be your best bet to target. just gotta find a dam with carp. there are some around but i can't direct you exactly where - maybe do an internet search (western australia carp)?

Jump on the marine parks website and fingd a location close to you that allows spearfishing. Go and find a quiet spot and have fun.
