Hi Everyone, Has anyone had anything to do with either of these two bows? I am considering a new bow and was going to buy a Bowtech Tribute but all the writings about the limbs splitting has me worried now. Are these bows quiet and reliable? and What sort of warrenty do they offer? Any input would be welcomed. Cheers Chris

Chris,
I have a Vectrix XL and love it. The draw is smooth and it seems to hold on the point of aim very well.
I set mine up as a hunting bow and like it so much I have retired my Mathews apex target bow and just shoot the vectrix for everything.

I shoot a Tryk, and love it ...i had a few comments up the cape about how quiet it was ... and i remember the first shot i ever took and it felt like nothing even happened ... no shock or recoil ... i love it .. in a manly kinda way ;)

Cheers, Cam

Gday mate i have shot all three the tribute, trykon, vectrix, and the tribute was a fast bow but the draw cycle was rough on the arm but you got to live with that if you want a speed bow.The trykon was nice to shoot not much recoil or noise and icould keep it faiely stedy. And the vectrix well i like that bow the most out of the 3 no no shock not much noise and you can keep this bow verey still wich makes a accurate shot hope this helps....

vectrix is just a new trykon with a built in sts mate... no doubt go for that one... and all hoyts have a first owner lifetime warranty on everything accept strings and cables given that it hasnt been neglected... if something does happen though it will be out of commission for a while given that the shop doesnt have another one in shop that they dont mind sacrificing... hoyt are crap like that...

Don't worry about the Tribute, great bow.

With that said the Trykon and Vectrix are also both excellent bows. I found the Trykon very accurate and liked it alot. The Vectrix has a refined cam design with a better back all so worth considering. If buying new go the Vectrix, but if a good Trykon comes up second hand go one of them.
Also consider the Diamond Black Ice and the Bowtech Guardian. The Guardian is an awesome bow.

The Powertec has a cast riser while the Trykon is machined. The Powertec is a bulkier riser and also has a slower cam, but is adjustable.

liike marcus said mate... trykon's a little quicker and the riser is a bit lower profile in that it doesnt come out toward you as far... that said, it isnt and lighter because firstly the riser is alot longer and the batwing bits add a bit of weight... the cams on the trykon are a lot more solid in the wall and the valley is a heap shorter which i think gives a heap better feel in shooting, but it costs you about 180 bucks for a set of cams, so for a developing young bloke like yourself, adjustability is key... also, the cam cycle on the powertec is alot more forgiving statisticly and personally i found this... and btw, dont get hung up on the wholecast vs. machined riser thing... to regular people that arent particularly used to winning the olympics, there is no way to tell the difference.
