Why we all should go to NZ

Hey all
My parents just got back from a trip around the south island, seeing the sights and generally being touristy. Anyway heres a couple of picks taken from some of the pubs the some may find motivating.

New zealand would be alright if only it wasn't so full of New Zealanders!:P

wait until they join as Australia's other 2 states, and then we won't even need a passport. It will be REAL easy to go over there hunting.:D

Theres ment to be a few public lodges and stuff on lake manupouri (spelling). close ones you can hike to, others you need to be dropped off by a boat or chopper. There really is ment to be heaps of options charter or public starting from about $10 a day

There is heaps of public land to hunt in NZ most can be accesed by getting a permit from the local DOC office before you go out. If you want more details look up the NZ hunting spot X book it has all the info for hundreds of sites.

Overall I would say there are public deer hunting areas within an hour of anywhere in NZ.

Just email the DOC's office over there and they will giv eyou what ever info you want on where the areas are that you can hunt.
BUT if you want to know the best places to hunt best to speak to those that hunt them.

There are a few heads like that hanging up in my old mans garage in NZ which where given to him from an old deer culler.

DOC will help you out, they give you maps etc... I use to hunt and ill will most likely have a snoop around in november is in the Tararua Forest Park. It was only 20mins from my old house in Masterton and it has a few deer around and some goats if you can find them, i spend more time bush bashing than anything, heaps of fun thoe! But there is heaps of hunting land over there and there are plenty of hunting stores with staff more than happy to help you out.
