if you could hunt 1 animal overseas which of these would it be. yes there are some animals that some people would never think about hunting but they can be hunted. just curious to see what people would want to hunt the most. if its not there feel free to let us know what it is

Without a doubt Elk. I think they are the most majestic of all the deer, the country they live in is awesome and they are certainly no push over wild ranging beasts.

I put elk for similar reasons to Ant but i think that cape buffalo would be an unbelievable hunt to deffenetly get the heart racing.

I put elk, for the same reasons as Ant. I think they are amazing and magestic animals and would love to even be around them let alone hunt them.

Elk for me, mostly because they live in some of the most beautiful country in the world. In '95 I got to see a couple of big bull elk go at each other in the Canadian Rockies. Pretty amazing show of power, two animals as big as horses with racks that looked 6 foot high smacking into each other with all the power they could muster.

I went for the moose.
I've always wanted to get one that was so big that I could lay flat between the palms of it's huge rack.
And also because their antlers look like a mutant fallow on steroids:cool:
Then an oh so close second is the Elk.

My order of pickings is as follows:

moose
elk
kudu
springbok
caribou
bear
lion
zebra

yeah i have to admit elk would be fantastic. it is what i chose and 2nd would be caribou or moose. i would love to hunt north america

hunt or be hunted

i went for Elk, mainly because there such an enormise animal that have huge antlers, my second vote would be kudu there my favourite overseas animal but i would rather hunt elk because the counrty is less open.

At the risk of being "boring" I also went for Moose or maybe Squirrel....then again I sort of had the hots for "Natasha"...all jokes aside...I think the ultimate would be a big horn sheep...arguably one of the toughest prey due to their habitat....;)

You had the hots for Natasha too?? Bad girls are nice.
If it were permissable, I would very much like to skewer a Japanese sika. The reasons are that they are a highly elusive critter and they appear oh so tasty.

Moose, the horse with satellite dishes. They too live in some fantastic territory like Elk. Unfortunately I will never hunt them as I'm s#%t scared to fly!

i chose moose, just because of the beautiful country that they inhabit... ive always wanted to visit the yukon. my second choice isnt on the list though... Mongolian Ibex... the best looking sheep/goat species in the world in my opinion, and i dont think that there would be anything harder to hunt then these animals... they inhabit rock and gravel covered mountains with next to no cover on them apart from reck ledges that are formed, and they are known to be near impossible to predict direction etc. like corsican rams or other such game...

Kudu for me...

Big and they blend into the surrounding area like you wouldn't believe. Plus I'm going to Africa in the next couple of years so it seemed a good choice.

I'd like to have a crack at a Mountain Lion in the Canadian alpine region. Bowhunting in big cat territory would be a huge adrenalin rush and a great challenge.

With a bow one of the 50+ inch sambar that live in India.

But I would prefer to hunt the Siberian tiger with a camera.

Bowhunting Elk has been a goal of mine for a while now that i'll be saving money up to go and do it one day. I can't see my passion for bowhunting dying out any time soon so i have all the time in the world to save up and plan it one day. For now i'll just try and master the species here in Australia.

it certainly would be a rush tack', but a hunter i know that lives in canada reckons theyre like shooting fish in a barrel, especially when there are a number of heards on the run... apparently they are extremely predictable cus they travel in straight lines basically so if you figure out where they are going you can run up in front of them, get into position behind a tree or something and they'll run straight around you...

What about an elephant, that would be awsome. Since it's not there then I vote lion. But any of the African Big 5 would be something special.

A good mate of mine the one on the left was very privileged to take this old rouge with his bow while on a student exchange last year. The orders were if you see him and can get a shot then take him needless to say he did exactly that.
