mate i would use broadheads, i use adders on bunnies but feel that hares are just a bit hardier than bunnies therefore require more serious heads.:D

ok, i put together a little small game head, it's nothing special but i would like to put it through my first hare, tell me what you think, its just a muzzy 3 blade broady without th blades and an adder on it, it might not be enough for a hare so that's why i want you to tell me.

I'd prefer to use a good sharp broadhead over anything else. Hares aren't hard to kill, they're certainly no harder to kill than rabbits.

You say that you intend to hunt foxes and hares. Foxes are hard to kill, they can take a lot of punishment and this is why you need to use good sharp broadheads on them.

What are you going to do if you have a small game only head nocked and a fox gets up in front of you? Most likely you won't have time to change arrows, so why not just carry and use the one type of arrow that will be entirely effective on both species?

gday dan
iv shot 2 hares one with blunt and one with b head
the one i shot with blunt went along way and died
and then i shot one with a razor sharp broadhead through the chest from 30m and he took off like a fox for about 10m then tumbled over like a fox does

ok thank's you have answer my questions and i am going to have a broady nocked as last time i was there a hare took off from about 20m infront of me and then about 30m behind the hare i spooked 5 foxes out of the trees, they were sitting on the branches and one dropped about 5 metres slamed into the ground yelped and then took off with the others and i didnt get and chance for a shot,

You could always use the broadhead with blades and the adder on the back. Best of both worlds and make some mighty entry/exit wounds. Howie

I treat hares like foxes when hunting and always use a razor sharp broadhead.

In my experence they can be as hard as a fox to put down, which isn't so hard with a good head.
