hey guys and girls
just a few pics from howie and I's last couple of hunts.
Howie's first rabbit was taken on tuesday when i got a day off school to hunt some goats with him out of town. the rabbit was shot from within 20 yards and did not go far. no luck with the goats but Howie did get within 10 yards of a 35'' goat but no shot presented itself as the billy did not wish to hang round. a few stalks later but nothing was taken. still a great day in the hills chasing goats.

Then today Howie invited me to go for a quick bunny bustin session out at his property. Howie drove across town to pick me up and then back across town past his place to the bunny spot which was very generous of him seeing we live opposite ends of the town and then a bit.
As soon as we got out we were into the bunnies with howie shooting a bunny but he made it down his burrow. Many bunnies were seen and some good long shots were just inches from the bunnies. A few more stalks later and nothing came about. A bunny was spotted at 40yards but jumped in his burrow only leaving his head showing. A head shot from 40 yards was successful and i had a nice bunny in the bag which is featured below

It was now Howies turn to bag a bunny and he did so not long after with a perfect shot through the chest. The bunny was down in no time.

I missed a bunny by inches and so it was Howies turn again and he did what was needed by nailing a small bunny again through the chest and again this bunny went no-where. Here he is

With my 40 yard head shot of a bunny it was going to be the money shot of the day until howie drew back his bow. This time a bunny about 1/3rd the size of mine was knocked flat from 50 yards. this guy can shoot!!!
On the way back to the car howie had a stalk on a nice fat rabbit and smacked him well. The rabbit showing of its acrobatic skills by doing a few flips made it a short distance before howie had him for keeps. Here he is

It was great to spend the afternoon bunny bustin with our cardiacs. Arrow count was howie- negative 2, and me- positvie 1 after getting back a lost arrow from a previous trip. Thanks for the arvo howie!!!!
