View Full Version : ...Almost a Father..NOW A FATHER !!!
hey Guys,
Around 8 months ago I posted a Thread here on TBGA about the news of the missis and myself going to be parents. Well the time is almost upon us and the DUE date is MONDAY 24th. Things have been fairly cruisy all the way through and with only 2 days to go and the docs giving her flying colors I reckon we'll be in for a good time. Renae's doing very well and myself too. So If all goes to plan next week we'll have our bundle of joy in our hands :D
...so if (Who knows why but...if) your looking for me around or 'wondering' what happned to Jay.. you know Whats happning.
Pictures will be aplenty once he arrives. Almost forgot We got engaged a few weeks back too, Its taken me 7 years to do it but she's stoked about it now. Its not like I was never serious about the relationship but this is the icing on the cake, Just letting you guys know.

PS: In the mean time I'll be speaking to Rob D about getting in a smaller Draw Cam for the Switchy so when I'm back...I'M BACK BABY ! LOOK OUT FERAL GAME !

Well done mate, I hope you and the missus and the young'un all the best.
I'm also expecting around Jan 10 so I know the feeling of anticipation very well.
Its the three year wait to get junior their first bow that really kills, I've still got a year before I'm allowed to get my daughter a bow.

I hope it all goes well, I'm sure you'll make a great dad. Congratulations on your engagement too.
We are also counting down the days to becoming first time parents, only 25 days to go till the baby arrives.

Jay all I'll say is sleep sleep and more sleep while you can mate:P
Our first threatened to come into this world at 34 weeks but then she went 5 days over due.
And the second we were told he'd not go full term but is almost there.

My daughter got her first bow when she as all of about 18months old. I'ts just a little plastic toy one but she loves shooting with Dad already.:D

Lik HOOD posted they are the best little friends going, just wait till they are old enough to start shooting bows and all that fun stuff, it will make all the sleepless nights almost seem worth it. LOL
I herd that only 5% of Babys are born on the Due date, so Im hoping tomorrow I can get some washing done and finish off the Lawns. The Tv just packed itself in so I guess its not at all of a bad thing. More Sleep and Work to be done. Cant wait. Good news that the missis is carrying well again Hood. Ha ha Troy The Misses was calling me a 'FILF' ya know, father I ... well I'll keep it clean. Take care everyone and I'll keep ya posted.

Well Fellas I can say that Renae and Myself are both very happy parents of our baby boy 'Lincon', Weighs in at 7Lbs 14Oz and 50cm long. Both mum and Bubbs doing very well. Myself very good also what can I say?
Labour started Friday morning at 5:15am and we finaly finished 'true' labour at 9:55pm that night. All I can say is wow. How dose one summerise the Birth of his child? let alone the first? I think all the fellas or people on here that has witnessed it first-hand knows where Im comming from here. Lots of emotion both good and no so good, but in the end It was all worth it. I'll quote ' Never again ' (hey I didnt say it) the both of us will be having eppedurals if there is a next time.
I still cant get over the whole experience and the fact that we are parents, and have this friekkin sweet little baby and just wow. heres a pic of him :D Once I get home and we settle in I'll show a few more off, Hes rockin.

for sure mate, Hunting is off for a few months while we consentrate on the baby, In the mean time I'll just be working on some weights and working as much as I can, Hey its christmas in a few months and theres 450 odd palets due in befor the 25/12 so I'm going to be quite busy! We were going with hunter as a name,but it just didnt jell. however when his a little older I will be taking him hunting :D

We thanyou all for your cheer and kind words Guys n Gals. I've spent just about every waking hour at the hospital with mum and bubbs and Its just so wonderful. I've got a few weeks off work to help out around the house and share the dutys and enjoy the little fella with his mumma, So thanks again fellas! Hopfully I'll have them both home Tuesday :D
