Went hunting last week end, and nailed a rabbit at 60 yards.Right in the spine, he just dropped.About 5 minutes after I managed to spook a tabby cat.Another 5 minutes I came across a fox that smelt my scent and was off.

I hit the rabbit with one of these.

not sure if 60 yards is an ideal distance to shoot something as small as a rabbit from, and wheres the pic of the bunny itself? anyway well done.

Fox hunter. Do you find the G5 blunts that you were using fly the same as your field points, have the same impact point, etc ????
Whilst experimenting with them at 60 yards, compared to my field points, they dropped about 8 inches. Have you found this??

No they fly exactly the same as my feild tips and so do my broadheads.I am confident to take a rabbit at 60 yards. The S.G.H are great they really make a mess.

Well done Floyd! Great to see that new combo of yours is working well. Was wondering if you had the chance to try them out yet. ;)

i hit a rabbit fair in the middle of the back with one of those G5 heads from 15yds a week ago,
the arrow bounced off and the rabbit dragged itself down the burra,

i shot one in the chest with a G5 on monday though and absolutely smoked him,
still yet to make up my mind wether i like them or not

Interesting information. I found they flew different to my fieldpoints, where Judo's, 2 blade and mechanical broadheads flew the same. Regarding game recovery - it all depends on where you hit the animal. I think the claws on the G5 heads would bury into the target and may be taken down the burrow on occasions.

i'd love to just give one a try but i would have to pay for them over the net but i can't afford to pay for three at once:(

With a 65 pound Bowtech Allegiance, they go straight through.

i was using a 70lb Mathews Drenalin,

the rabbit was facing away from me, i hit it as clean as ya like
and the arrow bounced off like it was a blunt,

I have never had them bounce of a rabbit. They always put big holes in them though.

Hey Foxy...ever hit a fox with one of those things ??.... I belted a nice one down the farm on the weekend with a 125gr slick trick....took him head on in the chest and exited near his tail....very messy and far too much claret for a pic..
