Halls Gap

Going down to "Halls Gap" in VIC for christmas with the family and was hoping to take the opertunity of being surrounded by vast bushland to take a bit of time off for a hunt.
Does anyone know anything about the place when it comes to hunting?

Halls Gap is in the middle of a National Park, you will see deer in and around the town at first and last light but you will not be allowed to hunt. However when you get out of the national park there is plenty of hunting. What are you looking to hunt?

well i'm only more of a small game hunter, so heaps of rabbits, foxes maby goat if theres any(is there?). Only that sorta stuff, i dont think i'll go as far as deer yet.

Check out the maps of the Grampions in the below link. At least you will know where you can hunt and where you can't.

that map is showing you where to hunt deer but what about smaller game.
Would it just be a no for no hunting areas and a yes for anywhere else

Mate I know you have said you are not interested in the Red deer at the Grampians but just to let you know there is a hunting season for reds in Vic from 1st of June to 31st July each year.
