There may have been something done on this before but...
Has anyone noticed how many guests we get on here? When you go to the "Who's Online" paige theres neally always about 3 guests for every one member.
What can we do to get them to join? Especially since these people could be be needing our advice or even have advice for us about something.

hope they read this?

Some sites have restricted access for guests that may help.

Maybe they're all banned members:confused:

I wouldn't worry too much, if they don't want to register than so be it, if they had to register just to view the site they probably still would post anything anyway. I know that I will never register on a site where you had to register to view the threads. I always wonder why sites do this, I always think that they are mistrusting people...Glenn...

Well like i said, these are people we could be helping and even people that could be helping us!
So we need to think of some ideas to get them in.

Like... maby some of them dont even know how to register?
Should we make up a walk-through?

as Glenn said alot of viewers acturally do join and just dont post anything, i think we had our 1000th member join a little while ago, but do any of you know a thousand people on here? if you look at the members list alot of people are yet to make a post.... some just want to read the posts and threads and if there members they can tell which ones theve read....

If they want to join its not hard, I like the suggestions but if there happy to just look around then so be it, the site is here to promote bowhunting so if a few guest can walk away with a bit more knowledge and keenest then thats ok I reckon.

Some members don't have much to add either as thats just the way they are, and thats fine too. But yes please don't hold back if your got something to add Im sure most of us will be keen to here your say on most matters.

Cheers all.

Guys please don't take this the wrong way because it is not intended that way, but when u scroll through a lot of articles here alot of people tend to come across as "self appointed experts", the point I am trying to make is that just because some people are not very public about their adventures it does not make them an amatuer. They just wish to keep it to themselves for various reasons. A lot of forums tend to treat new members as new comers to their sport which we all know is not the case. I quit this forum a couple of years ago because I was going to give a particular member a real serve over the net which is not very wise or clever so I just chose not to come into the forum, I am sure everyone could probably imagine who was getting on my goat, so there is no need to mention names except that they were a "self appointed expert"! thanku I hope I have not upset anyone
by the way it is a very well organised site

Posts removed to save the dramas that follow. I don't feel we need to put anyone down on this site as we are a level above that here and it only degrades this site of its promotion for the sport.

Go via email if you have a problem with someone, or a certain party because when you do it via the site it brings the whole site into it. I know its good to blow a bit of steam and fire back, heck I enjoy it but it just isn't worth the emails, pms and dramas that follow for me or other admin.

Cheers Lads
