For the past few weeks my father has been putting together a 3 day trip to Sydney with mum as it is their 25 wedding anniversary. Dad put together a perfect plan to wake up today, roll over and supprise mum by telling her to start packing (we hadn't told her yet). He did that this morning with me waking up to the sound of mums excitement which went on right up until 1pm when we all left for the airport(me and my brother just went to the airport to say goodbuy). We got their and dropped them off, my brother and I started driving home when he's phone rang and he told me that there wasnt a flight!:confused:? We got back to the airport and the story was that their wasnt enough crew to fly the plane(and this is not only on a long weekend but also to the same place as where the rugby grand final would be that night, so you would think there would be heaps of crew ready)!
We later found out that our flight was booked out so their would be another 40-50 people going throught the same thing, also the whole days flights were booked out so there go's getting on a flight with that airline(REX)... but what about another airline... how about... Quantas? After checking we found that Quantas has clearly found out about REX's flight cancle and had decided to rip everyone off by putting the price of the tickets my parents wanted from $150 to... $420!
Ontop of all that my perents had problems canceling the things that dad had booked to do in Sydney weeks ago and have now lost hundreds of dollars... all because a handful of people didnt turn up and the airline was too lazy to do anything about it! :mad:
