hey guys

who here has hunted from ground blinds for deer etc. what do people think about it???
i was thinking about setting/building one up at my deer spot as i can never close the gap. is the go just to place them along well used trails or waterholes and wait for them to turn up.

do people think it is still hunting, or do you think hunting should be stalking. would using a ground blind be cheating.

thanks guys

In my opinion using a ground blind is NOT cheating its no different than sitting behind a tree or bit of brush waiting for game to walk by. Ground blinds are just another piece of equiptment I use. Like treestands they work well in thier places. You cant just whack one up any old place and expect to see game.
But they are boring to sit in after awhile so be paitent...

thats what i was thinking bill. i was also thinking they might be good for those hot summer days next to the water holes waiting for the goats to turn up. i guess it is no different to waiting behind a tree aye.
also my old man does not have to slug away at the hills lol.

do you have a bought one bill

thanks

I usually just throw a bunch of branches, leaves, grass and whatever is on the ground together when I need one.
Iam looking to get one in the near future though...
