I organised a bit of a group hunt on the weekend just gone on my mates
Place down south. 18000 acres of land with a ton of rabbits and plenty of foxes and cats to go around as well as yabbie filled dams (or what ever they call em over ere)
It was mainly for the kids and people that haven’t had the chance to go hunting yet
and worked out real well.
It was the first time I have organised a group hunt and was over the moon how it panned out. It was a mixture of people from four clubs around Perth
The place we hunted on was a place ive been hunting on for years and there were more Rabbits and cats on there than most times ive been there so that was a bonus. The foxes were on the slim list but we still managed to whistle a couple in.
16 people in all, 12 hunters, one guide (not by choice, he just had an operation) and 3 onlookers (my son and little brother n sister)

I went for a quick walk with the bow and got this fella 100 metres from camp on the first day

My little man asleep around the camp fire

Me cookin up a storm on Sunday night, roast Goat and veggies

This weekend was Browny’s first hunt and he got a few shots off but he managed to control the shakes on this occasion and got himself a nice fat rabbit, well done Mate

Then it was Mitch’s turn to pull off a cracker shot and get himself this little hum-dinger

There was another first, with young Stewart Anderson getting his first kill with the bow (unfortunately don’t have a pic of it) so yer very successful and fun weekend for all
Even thou there were some young blokes that didn’t get any thing, it was good to see them enjoy themselves just being in the bush and getting shots off and learning, they were all like little sponges soaking up what was being told so yer i'll be doing more of this sort of thing in the future I think
Hope you enjoy
