Yesterday down home here was hot and boring and this was emphasised by the hard working day that was monday for me and josh, anyways to cure the bordem i started to think of how i could get my bow down to our hunting spot on the moto, afew ideas were thrown around and i eventually settled with the one in the following pictures. Its a bag with all of the pockets cut off and has an occy strap around it and the bow to hold the bow in place.
I finished this then went to give it a test run and rode to our rabbit spot where robh had shot his bunny the previous sunday. On arrival i spotted afew rabbits just soaking up the afternoon sun on there burrows and i began to stalk in, as im stalking in i was lookin around me and probly in a 20m radius i could spot 9 different rabbits! i got to about 20 on this little fella and lined him up only to see the arrow stick into the bank behind him and just a little high, after another missed shot or two i came onto the bigger of the two shot for the afternoon and put one into him from 20 pinning him to the ground he wasnt goin anywhere.
Just after this i was stalking another little rabbit when i look out into the clearing and spotted a small mob of goats feeding out into the clearing. I thought stuff the rabbits as there was afew good sets amoung this mob and began to close the gap, at avout 60 metres they started to feed towards me then at bout 30m the biggest billy winded me and struted off into the bushes while i was trying to keep up without being seen.
They wandered through the trees and came out on the other side into another clearing and to my suprise there wa another mob right near where my bike was parked, these two mobs joined to form one massive one of probly 40 goats or and many a good set of horns.
They started to settle and feed so i began stalking only to spook a bloody mob of roos and before i knew it the goats were outta sight :mad::mad::mad::rolleyes:
Anyways it was gettin late soi returned to the rabbit spot to get my previously shot rabbit and to my suprise there was rabbits everywhere again, i put a stalk on and got to 10 on the young rabbit abd let him have it right through the chest and i was all over for him.
I collected my rabbits and headed home for photos.
