Hullo lads,
I asked a fair while ago about good heavy duty knives to use, never got around to getting one but I was about to the other night - I thought I'd better come back and ask about it again though!

I remember someone said the Jungle Survival Knife, or JSK, near the bottom of that page would be pretty wicked and long lasting, so I'm pretty set on that for heavy duty stuff.

Also looking at the Sicut Bush knife which is somewhere on that page for less strenous varied work - cutting food and gutting fish etc, doesn't seem as high quality (not totally sure never used one of their knives before) but then again it probably won't get as much work.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks guys

I was admiring your all-rounders last night :) They look really good.

How much do you usually sell them for? Something like the one on your first gallery page, that's about what I'm after.

for a good all round knife you cant go pass the fallkniven S1, even though this is a clip point knife and the base steel does have a little to be desigered, the lammination over the 440C makes for a very hard wearing edge that is also easy to sharpen in the feild.

when i get home i'll post some pics of this knives sligtly bigger brother the A1 doing some realitvely hard choping and other tasks. get back thursday

cheers forrie

btw mayll does make some great looking blades, one can dream :)

Got to go with the all purpose US Army Ka-Bar (you can get them for about $60 on ebay).

Or the Aussie Buck Knife. Both very hardy and great knives.
