well i didnt get the chance to go goat hunting so i turne my thought's to the bunny's, i was shoot good enough out to 30m with my fieldtip and adder head. first shot was from around 20m at a rabbit angling away, it ducked my arrow and it was like in slow motion, amazing how it didnt have a clue i was there then BAM! it drops to the ground getting only a slight hair cut.
i walked on a soon came to a warren where i get down low and slowly walk up the hill to where i always have shots at kittens but there usually impossible to hit, i looked up and could see 3 sitting and feeding, i drew back and slowly stood up, then a kitten came walking out of it's hole about 5 metres just a little to my right so i put my top pin on it's chest and let loose, i saw it backflip and i looked over a rise and could see it laying there not moving at all. i picked it up and my adder hed gone straight through it's eye and out the back of it's head and then through it's spine and poked out near it's tail:o no wonder it wasn't moving! i took a photo and kept walking. the rest of the way was pretty straight forward until a bunny came bounding towards me, it crossed the fence and sat 4metres away broadside, i aimed and released my arrow flew harmlesly over it's back! ahwell...
it was getting dark so i hurried along, rabbit's bolted off the hill up ahead and then i spotted two white stomach's sitting outside there warrens watching my every move, i crouched down and edged my way towards them, it was all open until a blackberry bush that was about 2 metres behind there position, it was a fairly quick stalk but i was being very carefull not to make any noise, i got to where i wanted to be so i drew and stood up, the bigger of the two rabbit's was gone but there was a kitten facing away from me so i lined it up and let fly, i saw it jolt forward but when i went to retrieve it he was gone, i stuck my arm down the hole as far as possible but nothing was there.
the walk home was dark and cold but was not to badas i was watching a small mob of kangaroos jumping away from me the most of the way home. they can get a little rare around here at times.
my ferret anjoyed the liver, kidney's and the kitten for tea. she was one happy camper.
thank you for reading. enjoy.
