View Full Version : Piebald Rabbit
G'day fellow Bowhunters,
I have been a long time heavy lurker of this site and enjoy it immensely.
I thought it was time I shared some of my photos with you, as I enjoy looking at yours.:)
I took this Male Pibald rabbit at 40 yards.

Hey,
Thanks Guys.
Nice Bunny and nice shooting, used to see a lot of coloured ones around my parts when I was a kid. Your flat out finding one at all these days, they have realy dropped off since the new virus was released.

great looking rabbit mate, there were two rabbits exactly the same as that near my house a few months back, i tried to hunt them with my bow everyday but only saw them while spotlighting at night. im also not far from you, about an hours drive.
dan.
Thanks for the replys,
Yes Clemo, still get the odd ginger ones kicking around here and I have got a few of them over the years, still to get a black one.
I had seen this piebald earlier in the year and where he was living along this patch of willows, I couldn't get any closer than 100 yards of him.
I was pretty keen to have a go at him and hunted him nearly every week for months until he dissapeared and I thought he was gone for good.
He turned up in a different area not that far away and I was lucky to get a long shot at him.
I was pretty happy to get him instead of a fox or mixo.:D
Dan great to see a young bloke so keen on the rabbits, keep getting stuck into em!!!

Welcome to the site. I'm guessing piebald tastes as good as standard bunny camo brown/
I have been hunting for over 30 years now and have shot zillions of bunnies but never got a coloured one, scared a few - so welcome, well done champ and keep those pics coming. Howie
