just wondering how to put the smilies into the post???

Use your colan .. ( that sounds bad!) the key that looks like this : followed by right bracket ) put them together and you get :) ... now try semi-colan ; followed by ) you get ;) now try : followed by P (capitol P) you get :P

Hope that helps. There are others but im not sure what they are.

Go to you User CP and select Edit Options and go to the bottom menu and in the Miscellaneous Options section change from basic edit option to Standard or advanced, this will enable you just to pick which smiles you would like from the right when you edit or reply to a thread etc, etc.
