View Full Version : Polyurethane coated arrows, which fleching Glue?
If I have coated my woods with polyurethane which glue can I use for the fletching without disolving the poly?
I'm not sure about the glue mate, but when I have had trouble getting glue to stick to the finish I use fletching tape and then run glue along the base of the fletch with a dob on each end as well...Glenn...

I do the same as Glenn, but I have used Loctite 406 superglue successfully in the past on polyurethane finished shafts as well. Fletching tape is great to use. It's quick and easy and so long as you press it down firmly and apply a drop of fletchtite at each end, it stays there for the life of the arrow.

Thanks for the tip. I'll get some tape in.
Another advantage to fletching tape is that fletches are easily removed with out damage to the shafts finish , this is a real bonus if you have fancy capping and cresting . Also I have never lost a fletch due to extreme weather conditions when using fletching tape . regards Perry
