View Full Version : Brought a Martin Savannah
Well i got stuffed around buying my Samick Verna so i got my cash back from the shop and paid an extra $100 and got a second hand 55# Martin Savannah that has only had around 24 arrows fired by it as the owner prefers recurves and his wife would not let him buy another bow until he sold this one. Should be here in less than 2 weeks i hope. Will tell you what i think when it arrives but im sure i will be more than happy.

Plus it comes with a FF string, beaver fur silencers, seal seal skin rest, original sock and a stringer and a Neet(Navajo color) sleeve.

I had a 60# Martin Savannah a while back. It was a very good bow. I sold it because I found it was a bit too heavy for me. I would gladly have another one though, something with a draw weight like your's would be ideal for me.
I'm sure you will like using it.

From what I've heard and seen, the Savannah is a great performing bow.
They look really nice too.:D
Would have liked a 50# better but im sure i will be fine with the 55#. Did a bit of research before buying and i only found good reviews on the Savannah and for what i paid if it doesnt work out i can always sell it and get something else like a Turkey Creek longbow which i really like aswell.
Im sure you will like the Savannah, I have heard good things about them...Glenn...

A mate of mine has a 55# Savannah and it is comfortable in the hand to shoot and a good performer . I think you will be happy once you settle into the drawweight . regards Perry
Well guys it arrived from the US, and in one bit which was good. First thoughts when i picked it up was how light it was in my hand. And then i just looked at it for a good half hour "Love the zebra wood". I have had a small go with her but i am still waiting on some arrows to arrive that got sent to someone in NSW and i got there stuff (Not arrows) sent to me. But i'm getting used to her and the weight after small goes 3 days running with only the 2 arrows that i have. Need a glove or a finger tab though my fingers are feeling it. Cannot wait until i have my arrows and get some decent practice in. And then its off hunting i go.
Cheers
Hamish
