new curve on the way!!

while at the tully challenge the other week i met dave keable. he has started making takedown recurves. he had his a 70lb with bamboo limbs. shot so smooth and spat an arrow out at 210fps through the crono there. i orderd 1 and hopefully will have it by xmas. cant wait to deck a few hogs with it! cheers cooke

Dave is a top bloke and very fussy about what he makes. I'm sure you will get a top quality bow from him.

A bloke I know had a recurve,not sure who it was made by but it was by a bloke in Qld and I think he bought it off this bloke at the North Albert Shoot this year.
Anyway it was a 65# 1 piece 56 or 58 inch short bow with bamboo limbs and it split the limb right down the string grooves about a month ago.
It was a nice looking bow and it was getting 190 fps.
Its probably not the same bow maker but when I read this post it made me remember it .

I did hear about that bow today and it's not the same bowyer. I saw Daves bow at the Caboolture Corrival on the weekend and it was a good looking bow and a good shooter...Glenn...

glad to hear some of you guys reckon they are a good thing. he is making em for the right price too. 800 - 900 depending on wat you want. looking forward to SIMPLICITY!!! did look at getting a robinson stykbow but dave's are a far beta bow. about 25fps faster than 1 at the shoot and a nicer bow to hold and shoot. be intereesting to see how he goes, there is a huge gap in that market since kimber gave it up.
