View Full Version : How to torture a Bowhunter (Happy Ending)

I had to spend half of my day off today babysitting 15 kids while my wife had a tupperware party, which i think we can all agree sux bad enough by itself.
But the worst part was....

Just as all the ladies were arriving, the postie drove up the driveway and beeped his horn, which he only does when he has a larger package for us. Oh no, could it be???..........

For those of you in the know, you can imagine my torture when i saw that the package was from Chad Weaver. That's right. My CheckMate Hunter II Takedown had arrived, and i had to put it in on our bed and not touch it for 2 hours. I had ordered this bow in March, so it had been a long wait, and now here it was, and i couldn't do anything about it.:mad::eek::mad::confused:

At last the little bas%$# oops, i mean lovely little dears went home, and then it was my turn. I happened to have some arrows that i had made up for this day, as well as a glove, arm guard, bow quiver..... What, Obsessed, ME?:o

So here it is. Sweet shooting, 31 inch draw without stacking. Bubinga and Maple riser, with flat-cut Yew limbs. Now my "Traditional journey" begins.

Absa-bloody-lootly nice bow, appearance and performance wise but get it off those massive horns mate there way too good and special to be a bow rack.

Haha.
I knew i'd get a reaction with that. No, it's not living on them for long. That was just for effect.;)

hey puk i cant stop reading your story of the 47 incher you got in BHD magazine, at least i think it was you.

i cant wait to get my longbow soon (near christmas), i was amazed and the amount of people that were suprized in my choice to get a longbow, as i am only 14 and i believe it is rare to purchase a longbow so early if they shoot compound.

im getting an internature longbow, one of the best longbows for the price.

really looking forward to getting it and giving it a go.

once again puk lovely bow, i love the colours!!

cheers mate.
