my archery specialist thinks that the reason my broadheads are going all over the place is because the cams are not turning together when i draw back and release, if this isnt the case then i dont know what else therre could be, we looked at the fletching, straightness of broadheads, the shaft, but nothing would help, my field tips are right on the money hitting spot on every time.

i dont know what is wrong??

any other ideas?

What kind of broad head are you using? How many blades?

With recurves and longbows, and I expect for compound bows also, when a broadhead arrow flies erratically, it is generally showing a spine or tuning problem. The general rule of thumb is to err, if at all, on the side of stiffness. If you've got the time and inclination to follow a hunch of mine, perhaps you could try some stiffer arrows, or try shifting your rest over to the left more (presuming you're a right-handed shooter) in order to "use up some more of that bend" (for want of a better term) if indeed your shaft is too weak at present; of course, if you shifted your rest, you'd have to re-sight too. I'm just taking a bit of a guess with all this, based on tuning longbows and recurves, including a modern Hoyt recurve the other day. I'm certainly not a guru on this, and maybe someone else with more knowledge and experience can put in a better two-bob's worth.

Could you tell us the poundage, bow type, draw length, and arrow type, length, and weight of point / head? That might help too.

Cheers, and good luck, Danny!

its a PSE nova

@ 27''
i think 5575 terminator shafts (carbon)
125 gr out backs, i am also testing some new broadheads that are going on the market, un fortunatly i cant really see how they fly as the bow is playing up. (both 2 blades)
50#
~ 29 inch arrows, they are a bit long.
arrow rest: quick tune 800, which i got on friday.

maybe that has something to do with it but i dont know.

does this help?

i think it might be that your arrows are too long, get some that are the right length and see how you go;)

Are you spin testing your broadheads, they have to be perfect to get perfect flight.

What size vanes are you using?

are you using a release or fingers, what weight are your field points? If possible
take your nocks and fletchings off the back end and cut the shafts to your
proper length using a high speed cut off saw then refletch. Which way is your
cock fletch pointing when it is on the rest?

yea mate we spin tested them, the arrow rest i got is different to my other but i did readjust the fletching so that it does not hit the rest and cause the arrow to off coarse, im not sure about cutting the arrows, ill ask my archery specialist to give us soem poimters or ask him to do it, as we dont have a saw.

im using a release aid mate.

5 inch vaines.

i hope this works guys as i cant have my arrows going all over the place.

If your timing is off I would imagine your field points would hit as bad as your broadheads.
Have you weighed your field points and broadheads to make sure they are the same sir???

Arrow length shouldn't be too much of a drama if they're stiff enough; if not, shortening them makes them stiffer.

Have you got a good helical on your vanes to stabilize the broadhead?

Seeing you just put a new rest on where the arrows flying good before you put on the rest?

If they where then you need to tune the rest for center shot and nock height.

Other than that you could be grabbing the bow upon release and torquing the bow which wont show up with field points but will throw your broad heads way off.

Im at a loss, your only shooting rabbits arnt you? so why not just get some field points and washers? They do the same damage buddy, and then cross the bridge when you want to go after samba etc.

does your group move left or right as you increase distance? this would indicate the rest need adjusting.
