Hey all i was going to do a letter box drop tomorrow and go for a bit of a drive around the towoomba area. I was wondering what everyone puts in letters when trying to gain access to the properties of strangers. I've given a little bit of background information about myself trying to portray myself as a polite educated person and gave the use of bows a bit of a plug, the letter i've come up with this below.

"Dear landholder.

I am a keen bow hunter, fisherman and wildlife photographer who is seeking access to properties with populations of feral animals, in particular red deer. I am a student at the University of Queensland who is currently studying zoology and ecology. I use a compound bow of sufficient strength, which can efficiently harvest large game. It is quiet and will not disturb livestock and is considerably safer than firearms as its limited range prevents the risk of ricochets.

If an arrangement can be made where I can hunt on your property it would be greatly appreciated.

My contact details are;"

Jeremy87, sounds well worded and straight to the point. Hope you get a few replies.

It would be interesting to hear how you go with it.

dropped of 19 letters over a variety of properties ranging from bush blocks to orchards to cattle studs, hopefully a couple of them have some monster stags that have been p!ssing the owners off.

Yeh i figured short and sweet is best just let them know who you are what sought of person you are and what you want
