Trophy Bowhunts

Well I've returned from my short hunting trip to New Caledonia (7 Days) could have stayed for another 6 weeks.....Sorry family...
Anyway had 5 days hunting and managed to secure my first Gobbler, and yes they are hard little buggers with a recurve. I managed to blood my Widow with a 12m shot to pin him.

I saw some magnificient Rusa Stags with the best at approx 40inches...Unfortunately I saw this head before I had a opportunity at 22m at a 33inch Stag....Yep you guessed it I passed him up, a couple of words float into my mind....BLOODY IDIOT....Just to name one....
Anyway it was a great experience and I am hoping that my negotiations with the locals may allow me to secure 2 weeks next year during the Rut. I will advise as soon as I know...I will be offerring 2 x 5days hunts....2 Hunters only per hunt....I have 2 already to go so only 2 spots will be available for next year.....There is no Bowhunting operation only in New Caledonia so I hope to get lucky....The property I will have the house on is a Bowhunting Only property with a couple of adjoining properties to hunt....
