View Full Version : RIBTEK 'in it to win it!' competition
Have you wondered lately “where have Ribtek Broadheads gone”? The answer is Archery Supplies has purchased them
To match our exciting prices and the return of Ribtek broadheads, we are also starting the “Archery Supplies Ribtec Competition”. Starting on the 1st of December 07', the competition will run on an ongoing monthly basis and anyone is eligible to win.
“How do I enter the competition?”
To enter the competition, all you need to do is submit a photograph of yourself or a fellow bowhunter on The Bowhunter’s Group of Australia in the Archery Supplies Ribtek Competition forum.
However, we are not looking for just ANY photographs, what we are looking for is a photograph of yourself or a friend, or both, with your bow in hand, and camouflage on.
NATURAL, ACTION shots are what we are really looking for, that capture a moment or feeling that we all as bowhunters can relate to.
Don’t be confused, this isn’t a competition for the best game animal taken. In fact, we want to see photos of YOU BOWHUNTING, not your game. Monthly only one (1) photograph from each entrant is able to be posted.
What does the lucky winner win?
A dozen Ribtek broadheads, of whatever weight desired (from the 100 grain 'slim', to the 190 grain 'wide') with a dozen matching alloy inserts
Awesome idea for a comp guys!!
A huge thanks for the generosity of all the staff at Archery Supplies. :D
BTW, can the TBGA Management Team members enter? ;)
Absolutely Luke. Anyone can enter. I'm eager to see what you submit mate given your photographic creativity.
It will be exciting to see bowhunting from a different perspective.
Cheers,
Jase.
Yep sounds like a great comp alright, Ill be sure to find a photo to enter.
Cheers for the support Guys.

Ok lads, time for a winner to be announced...
:) Well done to all those that entered in December, I think it will grow every month from now on :)
Honorable mentions go to; - PeteM for his old school 'Ribbies and rabbits'
shot' - Piggy with the recurve up ready for that pig to step out - and Dale Furze for the typical 'out west' hunting pic :) - and I personally thought that Pedro's 'tired walk back' pic was really up there....
But we think that Antonio's pic of Pego at full draw with a deer in the same shot is a beauty! and so that deservedly wins the dozen Ribtek's and inserts, well done! :)
NOW LETS GET JANUARY UNDERWAY!!!!!!!! :) :)
Cool Rory
Do we kick it off from here or do we start a new thread
Rod
Go on from here I think :) Into it!! :)
We'll post up the monthly winners in the 'Winners' thread ;)

Tony Jensen took this photo of yours truly a moment after I'd dropped the string on a nice billy goat. Just visible is the laminated birch arrow wearing a 190 grain Ribtek (total 850 grains) in mid-air having just exited the off-side of the unlucky goat. The bow is my 66" Howard Hill Redman, a straight-end yew longbow of 70lbs @ 29".

Yeah! We have been scratching our heads for new ideas for next month's comp, and have therefore left the 'post pumping up' go for a while...

Here is a favorite pics of mine that I though I would share, whether the comp is still going or not - :)
I had waited for ages on a rapidly dissipating mob of goats, so I took the only opportunity I was presented after a good 20 minute wait, a "Texas Heart Shot". Only moments before release my hunting partner snapped this pic. The arrow travelled the full length of this barren nanny exiting between her front legs, her next journey was to the freezer.
Thanks,
Aaron
