Just returned from another hike deep into the mountains, punished my legs to the max and still drying out from the down pours.

Looking into boar and billy country, seen 2 cracka boars and about 200 goats this afternoon.

Hard hunting

In the thick of it, camp.

I strapped my recurve to my pack for most of this country, as I needed both hands to climb out of the gullies back to the ridges. Was totally in your face terrain 80 percent of the time.

No billy's were to appealing to me, and no boars were stalked. But as good as any game to me is a fox. There's a bit of a storie to this guy which I will leave to my artical in Bowhunting Down Under.

like your camp, simple but practical and I love seeing photos of foxes with holes in them.

Thanks lads, is always good a few nights bush.

Jeffro, As you can imagine in that sort of landscape seeing game and getting to it before sundown are most challenging. One of the things I found hardest was locating game on the same slope I was hunting as you just could see due to small ridges, rolling hills and the heavy tussoc grass(lots of blind spots. But thats what makes it so great also. Its not uncommen to basically walk over the top of a pig when times are good, that didn't happen this trip but I did spook a good boar while setting up camp that would have been no more then 40 yards away.

Keep the Questions coming Tali and Ill keep the stories coming.

I spent 2 days in the bush (woods, forest most likely known as over there).

Billies are generally taken for Trophy and thats what I wa looking at.

The rain kept any cold at bay and clouds, the Minimum over night woul dhave been around 14 degree and high would have been mid 30s.

Climate can change dramatically in Australia from region to region so if planning a trip don't go off these temps.

Cheers Adam

Nice terrain Adam.

I pumped out about 50kms over the weekend as well with the old trad bow. It takes it outta you hey. Gotta love it though.

I saw heaps in the thick stuff taking cover from the rain, but no boars damn it!
