Hi Guys,
I have ordered and Xforce and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I want to preserve the speed for which it is know for so do not want to put anything on the string that would slow it down including a peep and a string loop. I have done a some research and found an interesting release that may solve a lot of the issues regarding string ware and also the angle of the string at full draw.

Does anyone know where I could purchase a James Green Gator Jaw release aid in Australia and how much that release would be?

It is available from the Keystone Country Store on the net but I would rather support an Australian shop if they have it at a reasonable price. It is about US$44 dollars from the referred store.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any information.

In order to use the Gator Jaw release, you need to put 2 nock points on the string, one above and below the arrow. The weight of the 2 brass nock sets is more than the total weight if you used a short toop tied in. Any speed you would "gain", would be lost due to the heavier string. If you are worried about the extra length of the loop, there are many releases on the market that allow you to maximize your draw length while using a loop.
Having some experience with the Gator jaw release(mostly fixing/replacing worn out servings on customers bows), I would suggest you look elsewhere for a solution. The gator jaw tends to be hard on serving, and have a mediocre trigger mechanism. go with a short loop and you will have all the speed you will ever want, in a setup that will be dependable and accurate.

I don't know the release at all...but I do have an X-F and the amount of FPS you will loose with a peep and "d" loop is negligible...and ditto the comments re the brass nocking sets !! BTW I use a knotless "D" loop that also serves as my nock and it works fine !!.;)

Gentlemen,

Thank you very much for your replies. It has given me a few options to think about. I already have a Carter 2 shot release and it is very smooth. I will put a short string loop and try and find a light peep.

Again thanks for all your help, obviously some very experience people on this site.

Thanks again.

a good light peep is the G5 Meta-Peep.
I will second that, they are an awesome peep and they are made out of magnesium so they are very light.
Try gecko archery, Antony sells them there:)
