This is a series of 3 pics taken of a sand goanna at Longreach showing what happens when you get inside their no go zone near a burrow.Its mate went down the hole as we arrived but he stayed put to let us know we where not welcome.

RAGE 2 Blade did an AWESOME job again, and boy don’t these guys, doge arrows at amazing distances, I shot this fella at 70m after a better one in the mob that I was trying to get jumped the string at 48m!

That is a bloody bomber Pete. Absolutely magic deer mate. They are dodgiest deer by far I reckon too. Well done, 33inches. You gotta let us know the score dude.

Thanks for the replies mates, and even though I am very happy will with my first Chital Stag, he wont score very well even with its excellent length and Brows tines, as we can see he is missing an Inner tine which means it has no Tops, Inners or Beam measurements guys, but still as we all know they are one hard target to get close too, and then getting them to stay in place for that 1 to 1.5 second arrow ride is one difficult task!

I remember when that photo was published in the Canberra times about 3 years ago, but its still a pretty impressive shot. That bolt allegedly started a pretty big fire...

Yeah I was down in Tuggie when that bolt hit! About 30mintues later the massive front from the west came through and the south side of Canberra was pitch black and burning!
