Has anyone had a go with the Quickspin vanes? Initail reports were that they weren't as durable as other vanes has this proved to be the case? I am thinking of trying them on a dozen arrows so any thoughts would be good. The price is a bit scary but I like trying new stuff.

I asked about these a while ago, apparently a whisker biscuit will tear em off in no time, and they are noisy.

Try 2inch blazers, everyone swears by em

I'm already using the blasers but thought I might try somthing a bit fancy. I will be using a hostage rest so i should be good in that regard.

G'day Mike,
I have used them on two sets of arrows (24) and have found that while they are new they are great and they do what they claim to do, "BUT" after only a short period they tend to buckle and go out of shape which is really annoying because you are paying top dollar for them.
I have only ever used them with a drop away rest so fletch contact is out of the question and as i said they buckle??
I have changed to 2 Inch Blazers and couldn't be happier with their performance.
I see NAP have brought the Quick Spin out in a 2 Inch also, I would say they will hold up better with the shorter profile.
Hope this helps.
Grant.

What bowdy said. Overpriced, comparatively noisy in flight, and became more easily mis-shapen than............. Blazers. I wouldn't recommend them. They do spin, though.

And rather quickly too:P
I like the blazers better myself as well...

I stopped using them after a while as they got really expensive, I was shooting these on Fita arrows and were been mishapen or taken off in tight groupings, since moved to Flex Fletch and have not been let down, no change in groupings if not a little better, faster down range and have not had one come off or mishapen yet. $28 bucks for 36 or $30 bucks for 100, my vote goes with flex fletch.

I am presently using 2 inch Blazers. Have shot spin wings. IMHO Both group well but the Spin Wings make more noise. Have found Spin Wings on arrows going over 280 FPS make significant noise in the first few metres of flight. I suppose that is because it is trying to turn the arrow and has not got its spin rate up yet. This is however a guess on my part as I have no way of testing this theory. Both the Spin Wings and blazers I have used have been right hand helical fletched with approximately 1-2 degree offset.

Intend to fletch my next batch of arrows with Blazers in helical 3-4 degree offset to see what that will do. I think I would lose some down range speed anyone have any suggestions? :)
