Hi guys,
I was looking at the 2008 Bowtech ranges', integrated cable guard, slide and string stop on the web. It comes with the new Bowtech models, General, 82nd Airborne and 101 Airborne models.
I note that the brace height of the 2007 xforce is very close to the 82 Airborne's brace height.
I was wondering if one could put one of those Bowtech cable guards on an xforce and whether it would do any damage to the x-force?
Also I was wondering where you could buy just that Bowtech cable guard and approximately how much it would be?
Any comments would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Mate to be perfectly honest I really don't like your chances of even getting one at the moment.
Without having both the bows in front of you and being prepared for the worst ;), you'll never know....

Work or not it would definatly void a warrenty. Not to mention how bad it could hurt if it didnt work...

Not a good idea for all the above reasons and a few more. Bows are tested with the stress parameters of the string and cables being set up the way they are designed. By changing the angle and travel of these you are changing the dynamics of the bow and that can lead to problems.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the information above. I will defianately not do it.
However to answer the quoted question above, origianally I thought it might not be a bad idea as the bowtech cableguard integrates a string silencer closer to an arrow's line of shot than any low STS system. Thus there is the benefit of weight saving with a dual purpose attachement and potentially more efficient operation with the string being stopped not far from the point of release of the arrow. It was just a thought that I wanted to explore.
Thanks for all your comments.
Regards and have a merry Christmas.
If you want an X-Force with a high brace..get the 7" version..if you want to use an STS..also good..I have one on mine that works fine and cost me $35AUD to my door...as has been said..don't go ****ing about with the bow..nothing good will come off it... and you WILL void the warranty... If you want the details of my STS drop me a PM..cheers .......;)
