G'day
The vic Duck season opened this morning. Although i am not a duck shooter, and not ineterested in becoming one I was only too glad too wake up to the sound of shotguns firing.
Realizing that in a couple of years that it will be completely banned if the antis get their way, and they will.
It's going to be a major loss to my town, with the loss of income generated from the hunters who buy Fuel, food ammo and accomadation in kerang. Theres going to be a big impact on the lcocal economy, as we found out just a couple of years ago when they cancelled the season.
Just last night there was a banquit on at a local hotel, with 50+ police officers attending, brought in to patrol and control those bloody anti's..
I have spoken to many anti-duck hunters that come down for the duck season, and nearly all of em say they don't really care about the ducks, but they and the're friends get paid to protest. thats how they get their numbers..and we know thats what its all about, the numbers. as for laurie levie, he just wants to get his mug on the TV....I'm going to drive around with a sign on my ute with the old saying 'I HUNT, I VOTE!'
