Gday everyone, this is my first official post and I am new to bows and bow hunting.
I have a martin pantera compound bow bought new with a archers choice 'grizzly' hunting sight.
The problem is that I cant move the sight itself low enough to even get the pins moving, like; I am shooting a target at 10m and hitting the ground when my pin is zeroed in on the bullseye at around 1.0m height, so essentially i am hitting low so I lower the sight carriage to maximum lowness and after still hitting the ground I lower the pin most of the way down too, result= im still hitting the ground and when I line the pin up with the bullseye I can clearly see that the arrow shaft is pointing at an angle that will be way way low of the target.
The guy at the bow shop didnt know what the problem was, I took several shots just lining up the shaft with the target and got a close group pretty much on the bullseye and when I took these shots I could see that the pins were aiming at something skyward. It seems that for the sights to come into pin tuning range I would have to drop it a further 2 inches or more which would put it directly in the path of the arrow.
So any advice here would be appreciated, Im using a kisser button about 2inches above nock point.
I really want to be able to use the sight, otherwise I would have bought a recurve..
Thanks for listening, cheers
