Hello Bowpeople. We have been discussing bringing back the ability to post on peoples for sale threads in the classifieds. The original reason this function was taken away was due to some people deriding peoples sales because they didn't agree with them for whatever reason.
We would like to ask you, the members, if you would like this function back. If it comes back, we do have to stipulate that we will not tolerate people abusing the abiltity to post in there by having a go at each other.
Please vote on the poll if you would like it back, or to leave it as it is.
Thank you, from the management team.

i say leave it as is, threads get hijacked and draw away from the item being sold, pm's also let the seller know your serious about the item and have made an effort to personally contact the seller. just my opinion

By bringing it back it will stop people having to answer the same question for everyone who asks it. I would prefer to bring it back.

if at all possible, something like that would be ideal!!!...

If we go ahead with this and the seller has a problem with someone's post in his add then all they need to do is send a pm to a member of the management team.:)

Paul R that sounds like it would work ok Thanks Shane
No worries mate.
If any member has a problem with anything on the site at any time, shoot a pm to one of the management team and we'll try and sort it out, that's what we're here for.:D

If I was selling something it is nice to answer questions once, not a dozen PMs.
as a newbie I like to see what others think of the item for sale, If someone is try to sell somthing for to much by accident or on purpose, they we need to know or we could end up like EBAY, with the money grabbers moving in and affecting the quality that we have. I have puchased two great bows for the sight with complete confidence, but have never trusted EBAY half as much.
So even with the fights it is worth it
yeh im with dan if i want sumthing ill buy it
So even with the fights it is worth it
Depends on how many of those 'fights' you have to sort out I guess

Well good folk of the TBGA, it seems that the vote for bringing back the classifieds has gone in the affirmative. As of now you can post on people's sales in the classifieds, but do keep in mind that attacks on people's posts will not be tolerated and these posts will be deleted.
This was the reason the right to post in there was taken away in the first place, so please be respectful of others endeavours to sell their goods. A simple pm can go a long way in informing someone that they may have gotten something wrong in their post, if you see it that way. I do however feel that the negative posts were a minor occurance and in general it was mostly positive stuff, so it is good to have the functionality back.
Remember this, a new function has been added that will allow a seller to lock their own post if they wish for no one to post on it and still receive pm's regarding their goods. This locking capability will only be available in the classifieds section.
