Obviously Dwight Schuh doesn't agree. Should we make judgments about this guys hunting without knowing anything but what we see in 2 minutes of video?

Of course not.
Having personally seen moose in the wilds on more than one occasion it is my personal opinion that a bow is NOT what I would use to hunt them.

Can I ask a Question? How are moose different to Scrub Bulls. Apart from the size. Ethical Hunting debate arises again, opps sorry ;)

Why the hell not??? thats my all time dream hunt, but in the snow... lol... and ur right john, what a cat for running... i would have gotten my 600 nitro express pistol out and takin him fairly by that stage... lol... that would scare the crap out of you... shot definately wasnt ideal, but with a rack like that walking through the scrub id put a pin on him without a doubt!!!

Not the ideal shot placement agreed !!! but I recall reading that a moose was taken with a 40lb recurve...and gota admit that a big ol "bullwinkle" is high on my bow hit list...;);)

Nah, my question wasnt directed at you Xt.
I just have issues with hunting big game with bows etc. I saw this bowhunting movie with a recurve hunter shooting a Big Bear. He shot the bear, and then Bear charged, so they finished it off with a rifle, then saying "Nice Shot mate" or somewhere down those lines. Again each to their own but I think Bowhunting should be limited to certain size animals.

i recall this footage being put on here a while back, and also got the same complaints, as for me..
I would have taken that shot
I would have ran like hell if he charged
I wouldnt of regreted either of them
from what ive SEEN and HEARD of they can be pretty dangerous...
just a question, why would you give out a call??? i wouldnt think that he would return after being shot, would he ?
lol jack same here mate!! hahah funny bugger! (would we need a bow at all for that moose?) ;)

Ouch yes, if the Moose had of connected! I cannot see much wrong with the situation, the Moose did not know he was there, the shot was a nice slip it in between the shoulder and neck, lung and possible liver shot. Even with Dwight using slightly lower poundage there should not have been any problems with dropped KE.
No dramas from my point of veiw. Good on him.
Dale.
My pants would be a nugget oven if that happened to me.
Thumbs up!!
hope he took a spare set of undies in his backpack!!!!that would certainly get the old heart pumping...
