im pretty sure you can shoot anybow fingers its just there is special equipment for fingers and release aids, like some rest only work well using a release aid and using a release aid is more acurate than fingers i think,
i sometimes forget my release aid wen i go out for a hunt so i use my finger i just aim a bit higher becuse u get more speed with the release aid, i used to shoot fingers on my martin cheetah..prefer using a release aid tho,...

you might get a little finger pinch because of the tight angle.

Is the DXT a very short ata bow? If so you may have finger pinch that is the only draw back i can se.

I will be very surprised if you can shoot it with fingers, it is a very short atoa bow.
As already mentioned 3 times you will get very bad finger pinch...

Hey dan, you can shoot with your fingers but your accuracy will suffer greatly. I know that there a probably heaps of you guys out there that can finger release consitantly, but it doesn't work for me. When I first got into archery and heard about release aids I thought that they were a crazy idea. I thought they were unsafe because they could misfire at any time and you could hurt someone. So I chose not to get one thinking that my fingers were safer. When I practised I could never get a consistant grouping, that is if I could hit what I was aiming at in the first place. Eventually I bought a release aid and have never looked back. My accuracy improved 100%. The downside is that if your on a hunt and you loose it your stuffed, thats why I pack a spare cheap one now. Also a few times I've punched my self in the face when my D-loop has worn out. Another thing about switching to fingers is that you have to adjust your arrow rest so that the arrow sits slightly of centre to get good arrow flight. What makes you want to use your fingers anyway??
