Hunting and the Heat

Whats the do fellas? I cant walk half as far as i can in winter and the heat just takes the enjoyment out of it for me. I normally load up the day pack pick a good mountain and im gone till dusk.

But wont do it this time of year,

i just take lots of water, take it slow and if possible hunt the shady sides of mountains or along the river. all the game will be near water. if near the river go for a swim or sit and wait for the game to come to you

We only walk a couple of hundred yards from the car and shoot the goats, dont get all sweaty and smelly that way. Hope this helps.......Howie

i wear a camel back and hunt hard...probably not the best thing to be doing in the heat but the goats are very far and few between where i hunt, its a rare occaision if we see them.
